The Minnesota Indian Women's Resource Center presents:
How should we address commercial sexual exploitation in tribal communities? What is currently being done? Where do we go from here? How can I help?
Featuring art from the group exhibition Bring Her Home: Stolen Daughters of Turtle Island, this year's two and a half day sexual exploitation information summit, Bring Her Home: Creating Tribal Responses to Commercial Sexual Exploitation, will address these questions and more. It will be an opportunity for tribal community members, advocates, law enforcement, tribal officials, professionals, artists, experts, survivors, and others to collaborate to build stronger responses to commercial sexual exploitation in our communities. There will be time and space for collaboration to address the question: How can we confront commercial sexual exploitation in our communities?
This conference is targeted for people working in tribal communities and/or with those in tribal communities impacted by commercial sexual exploitation or sex trafficking. Registration priority will be given to these individuals. If there is additional space, registration will be approved on a first come, first served basis.
More information about the art exhibition that will be featured at this year's conference can be found at http://www.allmyrelationsarts.com/bring-her-home-stolen-daughters-of-turtle-island/.
